Multiple Group 1 placegetter YOUNG WERTHER (2) was well fancied when resuming but found a couple better in the G3 TS Carlyon Cup at Caulfield, finishing one length adrift at the end of 1m. Will appreciate the extra ground. Winning chance. Group 2 winner BERKELEY SQUARE (5) finished 2.25 lengths away in sixth last time out over 1m at this track a week ago. Steps up in journey. Right in the mix. FAWKNER PARK (7) returned from a lay-off two weeks ago when he was beaten 1.5 lengths into fourth over 7f at Rosehill. Taking on a better line-up this time but he deserves plenty of thought. BERMADEZ (4) ran below expectations last time at Caulfield over 1m2f, finishing sixth and beaten 6 lengths. Reunites with Jye Mcneil who has a win when partnering. Can play a role in the finish.
