MAYOR OF MERRIVALE (2) finished third last time over 1m1 1/2f at this track to make it eight minor placings from 18 career runs. Has a good record at this distance with five top-three results from six starts. Has a high cruising speed. Will prove tough to beat. HOME REEF (3) peaked on his run when resuming last start over 6½f at this track, winding up in fourth. Steps up in journey this time. Has the pace to settle in the leading division. Winning claims on best figures. COME ON YOU SPURS (4) wasn't far off maiden success before a nine weeks break, finishing the prep with a minor placing at this track. Re-unites with Dennis Schwarz. Has ability so don't underestimate.
