ISLAND MASTER (3) is a 11-start maiden who went close to shedding the tag last time when second over 1m2f at this track. Has good early speed so should take up a forward position. Expecting a bold showing. CRIMSON COMET (6) has put together back-to-back placings, the latest when 1.3 lengths away in third over 1m2f at this track. Meeting a tougher field but on his best form he is good enough to take this out. TAKE A MULLIGAN (5) was out of the money two runs back then again missed the frame last start over 1m1 1/2f at this track, beaten 2.5 lengths into fourth. Suitably placed so anticipating a big run this time. POTENT CAPTAIN (2) finished second at this track two runs back but didn't measure up last time over 1m at Fairview, finishing 5 lengths back in seventh. Has his share of talent and can do a lot better.
