FIRST ORIGIN (1) was a dominant winner last time over 5f at this track, getting home by 2.25 lengths. Has good early speed so should take up a forward position. Expecting a bold showing. THE WINTER LAKE (2) returns from a break of 11 weeks. Consistent performer last prep whose most recent appearance resulted in a fifth over 5f at this track. Nicely placed to kick off another successful campaign. AUSSENKEHR (3) last appeared seven weeks ago over 6f at Vaal when he finished tenth. This is his first run for the K Mitchley stable. Worth plenty of thought. EVIES FIRST (4) has been kept fresh for this since a disappointing fifth last start over 6f at Fairview All Weather eight weeks ago. Good record at this journey with three wins and eight minor placings from 15 starts and cannot be underestimated.
