WHISKEYJACK (6) really dug deep to get the prize by 1.3 lengths three runs back at this track (Dirt) before filling a minor placing at his last two starts. Has the pace to be in a prominent position from the outset. Expecting a bold showing. PIRATE RED (7) has strung together a couple of wins at this circuit, the latest on August 9 over 6½f when he scored by 4 lengths. Winning rider I Enriquez retains the mount. Facing a tougher assignment but he is capable of running another bold race. IT'S TURBO (5) was strongly fancied when third last time over 6f at this track (Dirt) after being prominent at the corner. Should be involved in the finish. NAVAL ESCORT (1) made late ground and finished second last time over 6f at this track (Dirt) when resuming from a lay-off, beaten 4 lengths. Has a solid record at this course and distance, including two wins. Suitably placed so anticipating a big run again.
