SAMMAAN CITY (6) returned from a lay-off two weeks ago when he was beaten 2.75 lengths into fourth over 7f at Caulfield. Strips fitter and can bounce back. DIGARI (4) settled back on debut last time out but wound up strongly in the run home to finish third over 5f at Mildura. Open to sharp improvement and can get off the mark this time. HOREB (8) made an encouraging debut last time out, finishing 5.5 lengths from the winner in fifth over 5f at Moe. Has ability and must be respected. BILLY THE BRUTE (2) faced the starter for the first time and finished eighth last start at Seymour over 6½f, beaten 21 lengths. Expected to be right there at the business end.
