AWASH (2) looks close to a win, finishing in the placings at his last couple of runs including a second most recently over 1m at Toowoomba when beaten 3.5 lengths. Will find this tougher but he is a leading contender. WAIRERE FALLS (1) found the line nicely last start to get up for third over 1m1f at Gold Coast. Backmarker who keeps coming. Will prove tough to beat. FLEUR DU MONDE (6) started at 3/1 last time and ran below expectations, finishing sixth and beaten 2.5 lengths at Gold Coast over 1m1f. Has a solid record at this course and distance, including a win and two minor placings. Best figures measure up nicely. Sure to run well. HYDE (4) booted up from the inside draw to sit on the speed last start then stuck on well to finish one length away in third over 1m1/2f at Gold Coast. Hard to beat in this suitable race.
