VICTORY COMMAND (15) followed an unplaced effort when resuming two runs back with a second last start over 6¾f at Ipswich. Beautifully placed and is sure to prove tough to beat. MEAT PIE ARTIE (8) settled well back from a wide draw last time then wound up strongly to finish fourth over 6f at Doomben. One to watch for late in proceedings. LIETUVA (6) wound up strongly last time out to finish 1.3 lengths adrift in third over 6f at Doomben when resuming after a break. Sure to be thereabouts. SMOKE 'N' OAKUM (11) finished second last start at the first run back from a lay-off over 7f at Sunshine Coast, beaten a nose. Will strip fitter this time. Sure to be thereabouts.
