SHAPIN POWER (7) sat on the pace when fresh from a lay-off last start but faded late and finished 2.2.5 lengths back in fifth over 5½f at Doomben. Better for that run so expect a big run. SHOT OUT (9) won narrowly by a long neck two runs back at Sunshine Coast then missed the frame last time at Doomben. Down in the weights on last run. Commendable record at this trip with a win and three minor placings and looks a top chance. ENABLER (1) ran a bold race over this journey last time, leading for much of the way before fading out of it late to finish 2.5 lengths away in fourth at this track. Sure to be hard to catch. WEST CORK (3) progressed nicely last time out to finish just 1.2 lengths from the winner in third over 1m1/2f at Ipswich. Placed to advantage so anticipating another big run.
