COMMANDO JACK (1) wound up strongly in the run home last start to register an impressive win over 7f at Mudgee. Comes here in the right frame of mind so another big run is on the cards. EXTERNUS (2) is closing in on a win, last time out finishing second over 7¼f at Muswellbrook when just 0.9 lengths from the winner. Don't underestimate. SPORTS PAGE (10) doesn't boast the best winning strike rate but ran a strong race last time out, finishing third and beaten only 1.4 lengths over 7f at Mudgee. Suitably placed so anticipating a big run this time. GOVERNOR GENERAL (3) registered his first win last start over 1m at Wellington, getting home by 3 lengths. Re-unites with Matthew Cahill who was on board last start. Tougher task this time but expected to be competitive again.
