Group 3 placegetter RAINBOW CONNECTION (11) started at 9/1 last time and ran below expectations, finishing eighth and beaten 3 lengths at this track over 5½f. Finds a nice race and can get the job done. SUBSTANTIAL (5) hasn't raced since finishing 11th at Caulfield over 7f two months ago. Kept ticking over with a placing in a recent trial at Eagle Farm. Deserves serious consideration. NAVAL TRADER (10) kept coming only to just miss last start over 6¾f at this track. Should be near his peak for this. This is an easier assignment and he can get the job done. KADALL (9) fought on for third last start over 7f at Eagle Farm, beaten 2.5 lengths to add to some fine recent form. Likely improver with strong prospects.
