OPALSON (6) finished 2 lengths from the winner in fourth last start after being in contention on the bend over 1m2 1/2f at Hobart, an improvement on his sixth at Hobart the run before. Suitably placed so anticipating a big run this time. FIORENTE DE LEGEND (4) gave away a start then stormed home to win over 1m at Hobart last time out. Key runner who can get home hard into the finish. LILY LUELLA (5) doesn't win out of turn, scoring just two times from 20 starts. Again tasted defeat last start when fifth over 1m at Launceston, beaten 1.5 lengths. Likely contender with strong prospects. ENCHANTED SPY (9) was out of the money two runs back then again missed the frame last start over 1m at Launceston, beaten 2.5 lengths into seventh. Better than recent efforts suggest.
