HAYWOOD (5) bounced back last start and landed the prize by 6 lengths after being in the firing line on the corner over 5½f at Santa Anita (Dirt). Meeting a tougher field but on his best form he is one of the chief contenders. WHERE'S THE LOOT (1) was out of the money two runs back then again missed the frame last start when he was always well out of his ground over 6½f at Los Alamitos, beaten 19 lengths into fourth. Needs to be at his best to beat this field but he deserves another chance. MISSION BEACH (3) got the prize two runs ago at this track. Not as effective last time out when sixth over 6½f at Santa Anita, beaten 6 lengths. Finds a more suitable contest and can return to winning ways. STAY ON THE FENCE (2) was out of the money two runs back then again missed the frame last start over 6½f at Santa Anita, beaten 10 lengths into 12th. Better than recent efforts suggest.
