DOC O'CONNOR (4) scored by 4 lengths over 5f at this track last start when fresh from a lay-off. Form here strong boasting six wins from nine starts. Sure to be there at the business end. STAR MAGNUM (7) hasn't won recently but looks close to a breakthrough based on his last start second at this track over 6f when beaten 1.5 lengths. Good record at this journey with four wins and six minor placings from 14 starts and is expected to feature. EARLY CROW (2) finished off last campaign with a tenth over 6f at Alice Springs on April 6 and has since switched yards. Generally runs well when fresh with two wins and one minor placings from five runs. Among the winning hopes. CIELO D'ORO (5) was well-fancied when resuming last start but could only manage fifth, beaten 5.5 lengths, over 5½f at this track. Has a decent second up record. Can improve sharply here.
