A BOOK OF DAYS (1) ran a better race last start to finish a close third over 6½f at Bendigo after missing the placings at the previous appearance. Looks well placed so expect another big run. READY TIGER (5) lifted strongly but just failed to pick up the winner when when resuming last start over 7f at this track. Will strip a lot fitter this time around. Placed to advantage so expect another big run. HOT PURSUIT (7) could only manage fifth when resuming two runs back then improved last start but found one better over 6½f at this track, beaten only 0.8 lengths after being prominent at the corner. Looks well placed so expect another big run. MARK OF ZORRO (4) is back from a lay-off of five-and-a-half months. Closed last prep with a fifth, beaten 4.5 lengths, over 7f at Pakenham. One of the leading contenders.
