MAKBEEL (6) built on a nice second two starts back at this track with success over 1m2f at this track two weeks ago, getting home by 1.5 lengths. Has his share of talent. Hard to beat in this suitable race. WETAKEMANHATTAN (5) is having his first run since January 5. Has a very good fresh record, scoring three times including one over 1m2f at Warrnambool at the start of last prep. Likely to take beating. LOOK SHARPISH (4) turned in a modest performance when sixth last time out over 1m1f at Wagga, beaten 3.5 lengths, after a win at Kerang at the previous outing. Nicely placed to play a leading role.
