AUSSIE PHAROAH (4) bounced back last start and got the job done by 4.5 lengths after being in contention on the bend over 7¾f at Gilgandra. Meeting a tougher field but on his best form he is one of the chief contenders. GILDED CROWN (7) doesn't win out of turn but was in the finish last time when beaten a neck into third over 7f at Orange. Backmarker who gets home hard. Will be tough to stop. AVALICIOUS (5) doesn't win out of turn but ran a nice race last time out over 1m1/2f at Walcha, finishing third and beaten 1.3 lengths after being prominent at the corner. Finds a suitable race and can find the winner's circle. LE MAY (10) turned in another moderate effort last start when 4 lengths from the winner in fifth over 7f at Sapphire Coast. Best efforts measure up so worth another chance.
