SNIPPETY STAR (4) returned from a lay-off three-and-a-half weeks ago when she was beaten 5 lengths into seventh over 4½f at Queanbeyan. Has been in the money at each second up start. Nicely placed to give this a mighty shake. XCEPTIONAL FELLA (7) didn't do a bad job to finish one length away in second last start over 5f at Canberra. That followed a win on debut at Canberra. Finds a tougher race but a better run will not surprise. KHALEEJ (9) doesn't win out of turn but ran a nice race last time out over 5½f at Nowra, finishing fourth and beaten a long neck when he did his best work late. Looks well placed so expect a big run this time. MENTALIA (13) raced on the speed from the outset and went to score by 0.7 lengths on debut last start over 5¾f at Leeton. Has the early speed to cross from out wide. Among the top-three contenders.
