JUST JACKY (1) was below his best last time, finishing seventh and beaten 5 lengths over 6f at Tamworth. Has the class to return to form. A BIT BAZARRE (3) was out of the money two runs back then again missed the frame last start over 7f at Mungindi, beaten 5.5 lengths into fourth. Meets some better types this time but he has the talent to test this line-up. CASTLEHYDE (14) did little and finished 14 lengths from the winner in 11th over 6¼f at Gunnedah last start, a less impressive effort than his fifth at Dubbo the run before. Perfectly placed and is sure to play a pivotal role. HAMPTON COVE (6) was beaten 2.25 lengths into fifth over 5½f at Cowra two weeks ago. Better than recent efforts suggest.
