TONKIN (7) had a bit on her rivals last time with an impressive 4.5 lengths win over 5f at Moonee Valley. Has the gate speed to take up a forward position. Expecting a bold showing. PONDALOWIE (3) finished fourth when resuming from a lay-off last start over 5f at Sandown-Lakeside. Excels over this journey with two wins from six runs. Must be respected. SAMANGU (5) was prominent at the bend and finished third last start over 5½f at Flemington, beaten half a length. Will be rock-hard fit. In the right race and is a top-three hope.
