ELVISON (2) has missed the placings in two runs this time in work. Finished sixth when when resuming in a flat race at Warracknabeal then tackled the jumps most recently and was 31 lengths away in seventh in a hurdle (2m1/4f) at Ballarat. Can improve in this more suitable contest. TOM FOOLERY (4) has been racing well. Scored two starts back (2m1 1/4f) at Warrnambool then was very competitive last time, beaten just 1.4 lengths into third in The Grand Annual Steeple (3m3 1/2f) at Warrnambool. Big threat in this suitable race. GUNALUVA (6) did a reasonable job when he finished second in a hurdle (2m1/4f) at Ballarat two runs back. Less effective last time when 1.4 lengths away in fourth (2m1 1/4f) at Warrnambool. Will be tough to beat. MIGHTY OASIS (3) was a little below par when he finished fourth in The Brierly Steeple (2m1 1/4f) at Warrnambool last time out. That run followed a win (2m1/4f) at Ballarat two starts back. Can play a major role.
