FIDDLERS GREEN (4) started at 3/1 last time but could only manage fourth, beaten 2.75 lengths, at Rosehill over 7½f. Can turn things around. DIRECT FIRE (5) was handy on straightening and went on to finish third last start over 7½f at Rosehill, beaten 1.3 lengths. Finds an easier assignment and can find winning ways. BAT OUT OF HELL (2) booted up from the inside draw to lead last start and went on to score by 0.8 lengths at this track over 7¾f. Generally goes well here. One of the contenders. CAPTAIN MAVERICK (3) didn’t threaten when resuming last start over 7f at Randwick Kensington, finishing fifth, beaten 3.5 lengths. Has a decent second up record. Can do better than last.
