KERGUELEN (6) is a multiple winner who is yet to miss the frame in four starts. Last appeared when he finished second over 6½f at Randwick on July 27. Has plenty of upside so a big return is on the cards. PORT ALBERT (2) finished fourth two runs back at Seymour then improved last time out to score by a head over 4¾f at Moonee Valley. Finds an easier assignment and can continue the winning form. EYE OF THE FIRE (8) finished last campaign with a couple of minor placings, the latest over 5½f at Rosehill four-and-a-half months ago. Has good early toe so he should be handy in the run. One of the main contenders. NAVY BLOOD (5) finished fourth over 6½f at Rosehill at his most recent appearance on July 20. Has to be respected.
