SKY CAP (5) produced a nice effort on debut in better company last start over 4½f at Newcastle when second, beaten a head. Breaks from a wide draw but a big run is anticipated. AMAZING EAGLE (1) is a maiden galloper who finished in the placings over 5½f at Randwick before going for a break ten weeks ago. Looks to be in good order after placing in a trial. Great chance to break through. SPIRIT IN THE DARK (13) is a talented filly who tackled a tougher race at her last run on December 9 and finished eighth behind Odinson over 5f in the LR Inglis Nursery at Randwick. Well placed and looks a key runner. SOUAD (12) raced once in the maiden campaign when fourth in the LR Calaway Gal Plate (C E McDougall Stakes) at Eagle Farm over 5f back on December 9. Expected to be right there at the business end.
