EARLY WARNING (11) knuckled down strongly to get within 0.9 lengths of the winner in third last start over 7f58yards at Kyneton when fresh from a lay-off. Ryan Houston has registered five minor placings when on board. Among the leading chances. BOGUES (6) is a two-start maiden who resumed from a lay-off last start and was beaten 4 lengths when fourth over 1m at Pakenham. Fitter for that outing and is a great chance to break his maiden status. PROSHOW (9) drifted back on debut last start then came home soundly to be beaten 2.5 lengths into sixth over 7f31yards at Werribee. Has upside and can measure up. DIVINE MISS GEE (13) has been in the betting at both starts but has failed to live up to market expectations. Most recently finished sixth over 6½f at Ararat, beaten 2.5 lengths. Sure to be about the mark.
