TWOTOODLOU (8) showed good early dash last time out and led for most of the way before being claimed and finishing 0.8 lengths away in second over 1m5 1/2f at Werribee. Well-placed and is going to prove tough to run down. TALLINGAS PRINCE (7) settled well back from a wide draw last time then wound up strongly to finish fifth over 1m2 1/2f at Benalla. Was outdashed but got going late and looks suited by the extra ground. Expected to measure up. MERCIAN HYMN (2) is experiencing a long win drought, extended last start when fifth over 1m2f at Colac. Faces an easier assignment so he is perfectly placed to score. NIGHTSUN (4) has been about the mark of late including last start when second over 1m3 1/4f at Werribee. Another top-three finish is on the cards.
