SPECIAL SORT (1) is struggling to break through but hasn't been far away, the latest effort a fourth beaten 2 lengths over 1m at Pinjarra Scarpside. Harder here but is capable of featuring. SUPER ROMANI (2) finished sixth over 1m at this track last time out following a determined win two runs back. Has a win and three minor placings at this journey from six starts and is among the leading chances. KING CARTEL (3) went forward and proved too strong last time out, scoring by a head over 7f at this track. Tackling a deeper field this time but he is good enough to figure in the finish. MACCIATEAU (8) turned in a nice run when resuming at Bunbury then wasn't too far away last time over 1m1/2f at Bunbury, finishing sixth and beaten 2.25 lengths. Well placed and should be about the mark.
