MR TALENTINO (6) was beaten for early speed and didn't come into contention when a disappointing seventh over 1m2 1/2f at this track most recently. Nicely placed to turn things around. MIRO (1) wound up strongly last time at the end of 1m1/2f at Bunbury to finish second, 1.1 lengths from the winner. Reunites with Clint Johnston-Porter who has a win when partnering. Sure to play a big role. NOD AND SMILE (7) was out of the money two runs back then again missed the frame last start over 1m2 1/2f at this track, beaten 3.5 lengths into fourth. Looks well placed so expect a big run this time. DARK LOOKS (5) is struggling to break through but hasn't been far away, the latest effort a fourth beaten 2.5 lengths over 1m1/2f at this track. Racing well without winning and is among the top-four contenders.
