BIRD'S THE WORD (4) turned in a sound effort last time but found a couple better at this track over 6½f, beaten 0.6 lengths. Cherry-ripe now. Yet to find winning form this prep but has been thereabouts with two placings from four starts. Best form puts him right in this. EL PATRON (7) turned in a good effort when narrowly defeated last time at this track over 6½f. Right in the mix. RULING DAME (12) finished third last start at the first run back from a lay-off over 6f at this track when she did her best work late, beaten a long neck. Finds a tougher race but a win is not out of the question. SPECIAL SORT (2) missed the placings when resuming two runs back then didn't do any better last start when 2.5 lengths away in fifth over 7f at this track. Well placed to make amends.
