STARANE (1) was well supported when resuming last time out over 5f at Parkes and proved too strong, scoring by 2.75 lengths. Fitter for that last hitout and is the testing material. BLACK ALEXANDRA (6) gave the leaders a start last start and made little impact in the straight when ninth, beaten 6 lengths, over this journey at Gosford. Has the ability to take care of this field. BRITISH STATESMAN (2) took advantage of the good draw last start and led for much of the way before finishing second, beaten a neck, over 5½f at Wellington. Well-placed and expected to feature again. HEAVENLY PROPHET (12) was beaten 6 lengths into seventh over 5f87yards at Canberra Acton last time out. Has her share of talent and is a top-three prospect.
