GROOVY DAY (6) returned from a break last start and drifted well back before closing powerfully to score over 5f190yards at Grafton, getting home by a nose. Should be in the finish again. BADDA BOOM BABY (2) missed the placings two runs back then was never in contention last start when 7 lengths away in eighth over 6¾f at Doomben. This is a nice drop in grade so she is perfectly placed to score. WRITTEN FAME (1) ran below expectations last time at Grafton over 5f, finishing fourth and beaten 2.25 lengths. Can bounce back. HURRICANE HARLOW (7) is back from a lay-off of four-and-a-half months. Closed last prep with a seventh, beaten 4.5 lengths, over 6¾f at Ipswich. One of the key chances.
