VIKING BLOOD (2) is poised to win after placing at his last five outings, most recently when third after he was well back on straightening over 1m1/2f at Grafton. Looks well placed so expect another big run. MAX 'O' MAX (6) was out of the money two runs back then again missed the frame last start over 1m1/2f at Grafton, beaten 3 lengths into fourth. Looks well placed so expect a big run this time. MADAME LEXIS (5) finished 5 lengths away in ninth last time out over 6f at Sunshine Coast three weeks ago. Tackles a longer journey this time. Will find this a little easier than last time. Has claims on her best form. ARTELUCE (3) was beaten 6 lengths into 12th in a 6½f contest at Eagle Farm last time out. Finds a nice race and can bounce back.
