VIKING BLOOD (6) finished ninth two runs back then improved last start but found a couple better over 7f137yards at Lismore, beaten 4 lengths. Well placed and there is no reason he cannot find winning ways. VERMILION KIRIN (5) is yet to break through after four career starts. Managed to find the placings at Gatton two starts back before finishing fifth over 1m1/4f at Doomben last time. Cannot be left out of calculations. MIANDA (12) again failed to feature last start, finishing seventh and beaten 3 lengths over 7f at Dalby. Will drift back but wind up late. One of the contenders. HURRICANE ROSIE (14) was out of the money when resuming from a lay-off last start over 7f137yards at Lismore, beaten 4.5 lengths after being in contention on the turn. Fitter and sure to run well.
