Nicely drawn and she is a leading contender. LEGACY ROSE (1) improved sharply on her eighth two starts back at Morphettville with a win over 5½f at Bendigo four weeks ago, getting home by 1.5 lengths after she came from a long way back on straightening. Well placed and there is no reason she cannot repeat the dose. APPPLEBY (6) will appreciate the longer journey after finishing a solid fourth when resuming last start over 5f at Cranbourne. Sure to measure up. HAMPTON QUEEN (7) is experiencing a long win drought, extended last start when fifth over 7¼f at Geelong. Hard to beat in this suitable race.
