FLYING CELICA (7) was safely held when 12th last time out over 7f at this track, beaten 5 lengths. That followed a win at Echuca at the previous outing. Well placed and there is no reason she cannot make amends. AMPERE (2) drifted back early when resuming last start and could only manage a 3 length eighth over 7½f at Mornington. Unbeaten in two starts when second up. Leading chance on best form. GREY NORTHERN (6) produced another moderate effort last start when 10 lengths from the winner in 12th over 1m at Murtoa. Nicely placed to find some form.
