TAKASHIMA (3) was in the firing line on the corner but didn't fire over 6f at Moe last time out when in the market. That followed a good second the run prior. Looks well placed so expect a big run this time. COVER STAR (2) returns from a break of nine months. Consistent performer last prep whose most recent appearance resulted in a fifth over 5f at Morphettville Parks. Nicely placed to kick off another successful campaign. KIKUSUI (7) was safely held when 15th last time out over 5½f at Warrnambool, beaten 12 lengths. That followed a win at this track at the previous outing. Finds a suitable assignment and can get the job done. GOLDEN DAY (11) did a little better last start at the second run of the campaign, finishing fourth over 5f at Donald. Should settle handy in the run. Not to be discounted.
