KIKUSUI (4) got off the mark when resuming from a lay-off over 4½f at Mt Gambier last start, scoring by 1.4 lengths. Re-unites with Jordyn Weatherley who was on board last start. Looms as one of the hardest to beat again. BORNEO (3) doesn't boast the best winning strike rate but ran a strong race last time out, finishing fourth and beaten only half a length over 5f at Mornington. Has his share of ability. Hard to beat in this suitable race. BELDIVIAN (6) turned in a modest performance when seventh last start over 5f at Woolamai, beaten 5.5 lengths. That followed a good when resuming win at Balnarring. Meeting a deeper field this time but he cannot be underestimated. MAGIC BERTIE (1) raced below his best last time when ninth over 6f at this track, beaten 6 lengths. Well placed and should be about the mark.
