JIMMY MANOLO (3) did very well to fill a minor placing when resuming at Tuncurry but raced below expectations last time over 1m2f at Hawkesbury, finishing sixth and beaten 2.75 lengths. Has the ability to take this out. FREDDY THE EAGLE (4) showed good early muster and fought on to finish second when resuming last start over 1m at Warracknabeal. Likely improver with strong prospects. RICH CHAMPAGNE (2) was beaten just a head last start and landed his first top-three finish in the process at Kyneton over 1m1 1/4f. Looks close to a win and is among the main chances. HONOUR THE SKILLS (1) turned in a modest performance when fifth last time out over 1m3 3/4f at Warrnambool, beaten 3 lengths, after a win at Mt Gambier at the previous outing. Well placed and can make amends.
