NEVER LET ME GO (9) finished second when resuming at Pakenham then couldn't repeat the dose last time when fourth at Pakenham over 5f when beaten 4.5 lengths. Capable of sharp improvement and can get off the mark. FROM THE BASEMENT (3) has not raced since his debut on November 30 over 6f43yards at Geelong when he finished seventh, beaten 10 lengths. Likely improver who is worth another chance. CROWNED DECEIVER (6) finished out of the money when fresh from a lay-off two starts back then she got a long way back and was beaten 5 lengths when eighth in a 5f contest at Colac three weeks ago. Finds a nice race and can feature in the finish. MRS SUPERGRASS (8) is a filly by I Am Invincible and out of Crown Witness who was an AUD $ 500,000 (Magic Millions 2022 Gold Coast Yearling Sale) purchase and makes her debut. Yet to be seen at the trials but should measure up.
