PALENTINE'S DAY (9) is progressing well this campaign. Opened with a ninth at Geelong two starts back then landed the prize by a nose last time out after being prominent at the turn over 6f at Donald. Has his share of talent. Hard to beat again in this suitable race. RUBOLOGY (4) comes here off a break of nine weeks. Worth noting he filled a minor placing when returning from a lay-off last prep over 6f at Pakenham Synthetic. One of the genuine hopes in the race. THEMOONSABALLOON (5) found the line nicely last start to get up for third over 5f120yards at Moe when resuming after a lay-off. Has a win and three minor placings at this journey from five starts and is right in the mix. A PENNY SPENT (6) turned in a modest performance when 12th last time out over 6½f at Sandown-Hillside, beaten 11 lengths, after a win at this track at the previous outing. Likely improver with top-three prospects.
