STARSHIP DEFIANT (4) is backing up quickly after finishing in the money in Listed grade at this track (Dirt) over 6f just eight days ago. Nice run last time and is capable of taking this out. PORTAGE (2) has had two runs since a break, the latest a seventh over 1m in stakes class at this track (Dirt), beaten 23 lengths. Strips fitter so a top-three finish is on the cards. Spinaway Stakes winner LEAVE NO TRACE (5) is experiencing a long win drought, extended last start when eighth over 7½f at Gulfstream Park (Turf) after being handy for much of the way. Placed to advantage so expect a bold run.
