SOUL TAKER (4) missed the placings two starts back when resuming then ran a better race and finished 2 lengths away in fourth last time out over 1m at Canberra. It doesn't get any easier but on her best form she is good enough to take this out. SAINT LOFT (5) was ridden quietly then made a little ground and finished 7 lengths away in fifth last time out over 7f at this track two weeks ago. Steps up in distance. Right in the mix. MAYFAIR HOTEL (7) finished out of the money when fresh from a lay-off two starts back then she settled well back and was beaten 3 lengths when fourth in a 1m contest at Wagga three weeks ago. Nicely placed to feature in the finish. DOWNTOWN'S ABBEY (3) showed good early speed and led into the straight before fading to finish fifth, beaten 4 lengths, over 1m3f at Dubbo. Solid top-three prospects.
