VIA VEGAS (8) was a winner over 6f at Benalla last time, racing on the pace before getting the upper hand and scoring by 1.3 lengths. In form and will take beating again. PEARL TROUT (7) raced on the speed and kept going to score by a nose last time out over 6½f at Corowa. Best figures measure up. Sure to run well. MR MARRAKECH (4) progressed nicely last time out to finish just half a length from the winner in third over 7f75yards at Kyneton after being prominent at the bend. Finds a suitable race and can play a major role. WHITEHART (11) doesn't boast the best winning strike rate but ran a strong race when fresh from a lay-off last time out, finishing second and beaten only a nose over 6f at Wagga. Well placed and should be about the money.
