Wolverhampton free racing tip: Favourite can justify market support on handicap debut

Liam Keniry at Wolverhampton racecourse

Wolverhampton racecourse welcomes the weekend with a decent Friday night card, and this handicap over an extended mile looks likely to give favourite-backers plenty to cheer about.

19:00 Wolverhampton: Sky Sports Racing Sky 415 Handicap (1 mile 142 yards)

Heading the betting, Bullet Point is a thrice-raced maiden who has been granted a very handy-looking mark of 75 as he prepares to make his handicap debut.

This William Haggas-trained three-year-old has improved on each of his previous three outings, and was last seen delivering a best-yet fourth of nine on Windsor in mid-July.

He returns to action fresh from a 74-day break during which he has been gelded, so plenty of further improvement is likely as he is expected to go from strength to strength in handicap company.

Bullet Point can now prove that statement as he should be fresh and raring to go as he tackles his longest trip to date, which could well be an astute move from his connections.

Adam Farragher is entrusted with his reins for the first time, and having guided two of his last seven rides into the winners’ enclosure, he looks to have a good chance of repeating the feat with Bullet Point here.

Suggested Bet: Bullet Point in the 19:00 at Southwell
