US Darts Masters tips: Luke Littler and Luke Humphries to reignite rivalry at Madison Square Garden

Newly crowned Premier League champion Littler heads to the Big Apple with his eyes firmly set on yet another triumph.

The 17-year-old is firing on all cylinders, picking up victories over world class players like it was nothing.

Of the two World Series of Darts tournaments this year, Littler reached two finals and won the Bahrain Masters.

Both those finals came against Michael van Gerwen, though the chances of a trilogy don’t look promising.

MVG is playing well but unfortunately for the Dutchman, ‘well’ doesn’t cut it anymore.

The Green Machine lost his Premier League Darts semi-final to Luke Humphries before crashing out in the Dutch Darts Championship semi over the weekend.

One man who could challenge Littler is his world championship conqueror Luke Humphries.

The Leeds United fan was undoubtedly left in a depressed state after the Play-Off Final, but his blues could wash away with a big victory in New York.

Humphries missed out on his maiden Premier League crown after losing 11-7 to Littler at the O2 Arena last Thursday. Cool Hand Luke averaged over 102, yet he still had to settle for the runner-up prize.

Despite this, Humphries remains the biggest threat to Littler in New York and we’re backing the world champion to go all the way.
