Wimbledon men's singles: Jacob Fearnley vs Novak Djokovic

It's world number two against world number 277 as Djokovic takes on wildcard Fearnley on Centre Court on Thursday.

The contest will open up the show court for the day but some have questioned whether the surface might be too greasy for a recently injured Djokovic.

The Serbian had no problem in defeating Vit Kopriva 6-1 6-2 6-2 to reach the second round.

This will be the first meeting between these two players with Fearnley the underdog.

Wimbledon men's singles: Jack Draper vs Cameron Norrie

It's a battle of the Brits as Jack Draper faces off with Cameron Norrie for a place in the third round.

Norrie leads the head-to-head 2-0 coming into the match having beaten Draper in straight sets in meetings in 2021 and 2022.

Draper has enjoyed a fine grass court season which included taking his first title on the ATP Tour.

Norrie has endured a worrying slide down the rankings thanks to a loss of form and will struggle to maintain his dominance of this rivalry.

Wimbledon men's singles: Emil Ruusuvuori vs Stefanos Tsitsipas

Stefanos Tsitsipas has been thrown a tough second round opponent for Wimbledon in the shape of Finland's Emil Ruusuvuori.

Tsitsipas has played against Ruusuvuori twice in the last two years, and he's beaten him on both of those occasions.

However, this will be their first meeting on grass which is not a favoured surface for Tsitsipas.

Ruusuvuori came through a tough five-set battle first up while Tsitsipas won in straight sets.

Wimbledon men's singles: Marcos Giron vs Alexander Zverev

Alexander Zverev takes on American Marcos Giron on Court No 1 on Thursday evening.

These players have met just once before with Zverev defeating Giron at the 2021 Australian Open.

Zverev enjoyed a good clay swing but is yet to ignite on grass despite a run to the Halle semi-finals.

Giron played in Stuttgart, Halle and Eastbourne to get geared up for Wimbledon but this might be the end of the road for him.

Wimbledon women's singles: Iga Swiatek vs Petra Martic

While Iga Swiatek looks vulnerable on grass she should be confident of repeating a 2023 third-round win in the second round at Wimbledon this time around.

Swiatek leads Martic 3-0 in their head-to-head and the Croatian has never been strong on grass.

If Swiatek keeps her serve functioning she should cruise to victory in straight sets.

Martic has lost all six sets of tennis she has played against Swiatek prior to this match.

Wimbledon women's singles: Katie Boulter vs Harriet Dart

Another all-British clash goes down as the opening match on Court No 1 on Thursday.

Home heroes Katie Boulter and Harriet Dart face off for the right to carry their country's hopes into the third round along with Emma Raducanu who moved into the last 32 on Wednesday.

Boulter has enjoyed a strong grass swing and ignited some hope that there could be a British Woman in the second week at Wimbledon.

Dart has previously shown she can rise to the big occasion but Boulter should have her measure.

Wimbledon women's singles: Ons Jabeur vs Robin Montgomery

Ons Jabeur and Robin Montgomery will play the second match on Court No 2 on Thursday.

Montgomery has fought through qualifying and already racked up eight hours on the court during the course of the tournament.

Meanwhile, Jabeur has played 55 minutes of tennis after breezing past Moyuka Uchijima in the first round.

This will be the first-ever meeting between these players in singles competition at any level.

Wimbledon women's singles: Elena Rybakina vs Laura Siegemund

Elena Rybakina and Laura Siegemund will close off Court No 2 on Thursday with their second-round clash.

This will be the sixth meeting between the players with Rybakina leading the head-to-head 4-1.

While Rybakina has won the last two meetings in a row, they have not met since 2022.

Rybakina is among the favourites for the women's singles crown and shouldn't be losing in the second round.
