The US Open is heading into the business end of the tournament at Flushing Meadows in New York

Here, usopen.org takes a look at some standout numbers from the first four days of play.

1 – Grigor Dimitrov (1-27) and Tommy Paul (1-7) each rallied to win from two sets down for the first time to reach the third round.

1 – China's Zhang Zhizhen became the first Chinese man to ever defeat a Top 5 opponent when he ousted Dominic Thiem in second-round action in Louis Armstrong Stadium on Day 3.

2 – Number of teenagers remaining in the US Open singles draws – 18-year-old Jakub Mensik and 19-year-old Coco Gauff.

3 – Number of mothers that have reached the third round - Elina Svitolina, Caroline Wozniacki and Taylor Townsend. Ten mothers were in the 128-player women's singles field in Flushing.

3:19 – Martina Trevisan's 0-6 7-6(0) 7-6(8) victory over Yulia Putintseva lasted three hours and 19 minutes, and remains the longest women's singles match of the first two rounds.

4 – Number of players that have yet to lose a service game: Madison Keys (17/17), Jannik Sinner (26/26), Arthur Rinderknech (23/23), Taylor Fritz (23/23).

4:38 – Grigor Dimitrov's 6-7(9) 6-7(5) 6-1 7-5 7-6(9) first-round win over Alex Molcan remains the longest match of the tournament thus far.

5 – Number of American men that reached the third round—Taylor Fritz, Frances Tiafoe, Tommy Paul, Ben Shelton and Michael Mmoh.

5 – Number of qualifiers that are into round three: Kaja Juvan and Greet Minnen on the women's side; Jakub Mensik, Dominic Stricker and Borna Gojo on the men's side.

9 – The current length of Iga Swiatek and Carlos Alcaraz's US Open winning streaks. Both defending champs are into the third round.

10 – Five Top 10 seeds that failed to reach the third round (men and women combined) – No. 4 Holger Rune, No. 5 Casper Ruud, No.7 Stefanos Tsitsipas, No. 7 Caroline Garcia, No. 8 Maria Sakkari.

11 – Number of games that three-time champion Novak Djokovic has lost in his first two matches.

13 – Number of return winners cracked by Jelena Ostapenko, which leads all players. Dominic Stricker leads all men with 10.

14-1 – Coco Gauff's record in her last 15 matches. She faces Elise Mertens in round three on Friday.

17 – Number of five-set matches in rounds one and two on the men's side, from 95 total matches.

20 – Adrian Mannarino has lost his first 20 matches against Top-10 players. He faces Frances Tiafoe in the third round on Friday.

22-1 – Novak Djokovic’s record at the Grand Slams in 2023.

25 – Number of double faults struck by Gael Monfils, which leads all players through two rounds.

28 – Number of three-set matches that have been played through two rounds on the women’s side (from 96 total matches).

35 – Stan Wawrinka contested the longest rally of the men’s singles tournament on Thursday against Tomas Martin Etcheverry – 35 strokes.

37 – Hold my beer, said Daria Kasatkina and Sofia Kenin on Thursday night in Armstrong. They reached 37 strokes in a rally during Kasatkina’s three-set win.

38 – Wawrinka is the oldest player remaining in either draw at 38.

52 – Length, in minutes of the shortest matches of the first week (Linda Noskova d. Madison Brengle 6-2, 6-1; Danielle Collins d. Linda Fruhvirtova, 6-2 6-0).

55 – Dominic Stricker’s 55 forehand winners lead all men’s singles players through two rounds of play at Flushing Meadows.

56 – Hold my beer, says Jelena Ostapenko, who cracked 56 forehand winners across wins over Jasmine Paolini and Elina Avenesyan.

59 – John Isner cracked 59 aces to lead all players through two rounds.

80 – Number of unforced errors that Ostapenko committed over the course of her 6-3, 5-7, 7-5 win over Avenesyan on Day 3. She hit 58 winners in the match.

88 – Taylor Fritz has won a higher percentage of first-serve points than any other player through two rounds – 88 percent (60 of 68).

142 – The fastest serve struck through the first two rounds was hit by American Ben Shelton during his first-round win.

14,470 – American ace king Isner finishes his legendary career with 14,470 aces.

1990 – Jakub Mensik, who turns 18 on Sep 1, became the youngest man to reach the third round of the US Open since Fabrice Santoro in 1990 with his second-round win over Titouan Droguet.

1991 – By reaching the third round in New York, 2016 champion Stan Wawrinka has become the oldest man to achieve the feat since Jimmy Connors 32 years ago.

1,562 – Number of double faults hit through two rounds, men and women singles, combined (811 for the men, 751 for the women).

2,239 – Number of aces hit through two rounds (1690 by the men, 549 for the women).

73,201 – The US Open set an all-time single day attendance record on Day 4, with 73,201 coming through the gates at the Billie Jean King National Tennis Center.
