Uncertain future for Wimbledon champion Novak Djokovic as Serb requires political intervention
Novak Djokovic claimed his seventh Wimbledon crown last weekend, but could face a limited schedule for the remainder of the season.
Djokovic defeated Nick Kyrgios in four sets as he sealed his fourth consecutive crown at the All England Club.
However, there are question marks over where the Serb will play next. The 21-time grand slam champion already admitted he will take the next couple of weeks off, but could face issues entering tournaments in North America when the hard-court season gets underway.
The United States and Canada both require travellers to be fully vaccinated against Covid-19, meaning Djokovic, who has not taken the jab, could face a prolonged gap in his campaign unless the rules are changed.
