ATP Atlanta: Christopher Eubanks vs Andres Martin

The US Open season hits full swing on the hard courts of Atlanta this week, and they have a new star to cheer in Christopher Eubanks.

Eubanks has been excellent through the grass season and is out to cement himself as a top player in his home town.

While Eubanks is enjoying an enhanced profile, his opponent in Atlanta is a young man grinding on the Challenger scene.
This will be the first meeting between the players, with Andres Martin playing in his first full ATP Tour main draw of the season.

ATP Atlanta: Maxime Cressy vs Alex Michelsen

Maxime Cressy will have some task on his hands if he wants to put down rising star Alex Michelsen.
Michelsen beat Cressy, Tommy Paul and John Isner en route to the Newport final last week and could have it in mind to take the scalp of his compatriot again when he touches down in Atlanta.
That win over Cressy on the grass at the Hall of Fame Open was the first meeting between the players, but they clash again a week apart.
Cressy might learn from defeat, but Michelsen is quite the physical specimen and is high on confidence.

ATP Hamburg: Bernabe Zapata Miralles vs Andrey Rublev

Andrey Rublev should be able to dash the hopes of Bernabe Zapata Miralles making a return to the top 50 next week.
Rublev comes into the contest on a four-match winning streak on clay off the back of claiming the Nordea Open title in Bastad.
The Russian should also find conditions to his liking in Hamburg, where his low-driven groundstrokes could be lethal.
The first round meeting will be the maiden clash between the players on the ATP Tour.

ATP Hamburg: Casper Ruud vs Sebastian Baez

Casper Ruud fell short in Bastad but is playing very well on clay which is just as well because he faces a man with a handy record on the surface.
Ruud is the top seed in Hamburg, but lady luck did not smile on him on draw day.
However, Ruud does own a victory over Baez on clay from just this season in their only previous meeting.
Ruud defeated Baez on his way to claiming the Estoril Open title, which he might see as a good omen.

ATP Umag: Albert Ramos-Vinolas vs Jaume Munar

Albert Ramos-Vinolas and Jaume Munar lost to the same man last week, but this week, only one of the Spaniards will survive the first round.
Munar was downed by Pedor Cachin in the Gstaad quarters, while the Argentine went on to beat Ramos-Vinolas in the championship match.
This will be the sixth meeting between the countryman with Munar yet to claim a victory over Ramos-Vinolas.
Ramos-Vinolas has rolled back the years with his great recent form on clay and is tough to look past for a deep run in Croatia.

ATP Umag: Stan Wawrinka vs Filip Misolic

Stan Wawrinka returns to Umag for the first time since 2007 but will still have fond memories of winning his maiden ATP Tour title there.
Wawrinka opens his campaign against qualifier Filip Misolic and will have to be wary of someone who has already competed on the events courts.
The Swiss veteran is plodding his way back up the rankings and will have targeted this as an event he could even win.
Wawrinka is perhaps the most imposing figure in the entire Umag draw right now.

WTA Hamburg: Daria Saville Gavrilova vs Jasmine Paolini

Jasmine Paolini lost to Daria Gavrilova as a teenager in qualifying for a local event, but that result will have little bearing when they meet in Hamburg.
Paolini played well last week and reached the final in Palermo before losing to Qinwen Zheng.
As a top 50 player, she really should be putting away the likes of Gavrilova, who is outside of the top 200 right now.
Gavrilova isn't the player she was in her peak, and Paolini should have her matched on clay.

WTA Hamburg: Donna Vekic vs Storm Hunter

Donna Vekic reaps the rewards of her good form of late as she carries the top seeding in Hamburg.
Vekic beat Storm Hunter in their only previous meeting in qualifying for Eastbourne in 2016.
The Croatian is on the cusp of a return to the top 20 and perhaps even a new career-high ranking.
Hunter has suffered first round losses in her last two main draw appearances.

WTA Hamburg: Eva Lys vs Mayar Sherif

Egyptian No 1 Mayar Sherif calls on a bank of experience from over 200 matches on clay while her 21-year-old opponent has less than half her count.
What Lys does have going for her, though, is the home crowd in her corner, and she will need their help.
Sherif was a semi-finalist in Palermo last week, while Lys' last outing on clay was a qualifying loss ahead of the French Open.
These players will meet for the first time at WTA Tour level in their round of 32 clash in Hamburg.

WTA Lausanne: Leolia Jeanjean vs Emma Navarro

When they met in Monterrey earlier this season, Emma Navarro was more than a match for Leolia Jeanjean, and she should prove her quality once again.
Jeanjean is currently outside of the top 150 players on the WTA Tour and hasn't played since a qualifying loss at Wimbledon.
Meanwhile, Navarro was a quarter-finalist in Palermo and a finalist in Bastad, proving she can hack it on clay.
Navarro will still need to be dialled in to best her opponent at the Tennis Club Stade-Lausanne.

WTA Lausanne: Sara Sorribes Tormo vs Susan Bandecchi

Whether you look to reputation or recent form, Sara Sorribes Tormo should have the beating of Susan Bandecchi.
Bandecchi owes her spot in the draw to a wildcard for a home event but faces a player who enjoyed a deep run just last week.
Sorribes Tormo made it to the last four in Palermo, while Bandecchi hasn't had a competitive match since Wimbledon qualifying.
This looks like a mismatch on paper, and the Lausanne crowd isn't known for being a huge factor.

WTA Lausanne: Tamara Zidansek vs Lucia Bronzetti

Bronzetti won't need reminding that she has been upstaged by Zidansek in Lausanne before.
However, Bronzetti should still have the quality to get that win back in a second meeting between the players, albeit their first in a main draw.
Zidansek had a good run last week, but she was entered into the WTA 125 event in Iasi.
Bronzetti lost in the first round to Erika Andreeva last week and will be determined to avoid the same fate this time around.
