Nick Kyrgios shocks fans with gigantic Pokemon-inspired tattoo covering his entire back
The Australian had previously revealed he was a big fan of the Japanese series, and he clearly wasn't joking.
Nick Kyrgios recently showed off a gigantic new tattoo he got covering his entire back, capturing his love for Nintendo's popular Pokemon series.
The 28-year-old tennis star took to Instagram to reveal his latest body art, and the intricate black-and-white design is quite a sight to behold.
In the short clip shared on social media, a team of skilled tattoo artists can be seen diligently working on Nick's back.
The detailed design features characters like Gengar and Dragonite from the beloved Japanese cartoon and video game series, which has a dedicated following of fans. The tattoo stretches the entire length of Nick's back, leaving barely any of his skin visible.
The tattoo session took place at Ganga Studio in Los Angeles. Kyrgios said the artists worked tirelessly for an hour to complete the tattoo.
"Hard. Full lines at just one hour," he wrote in his Instagram post.
Kyrgios has long been a devoted fan of the Pokémon series. He previously admitted to playing the Pokemon Go mobile app during his downtime while competing in the Rogers Cup in Canada back in 2016.
The Australian has been out of action for much of the year due to an ongoing wrist injury, but has assured his fans that he is still on the path to recovery and is determined to return to the court as soon as his wrist heals properly.
